Changing Displays
1. When a design is opened up it will always start off in the Standard display. To change between the preset displays available use the drop down 'Display' menu in the toolbar.

2. There are five preset display options provided: Standard, Retro, Artwork, Artwork (Top) and Real Life.

3. To completely customise the display go to View > Display > Customise... . This will bring up the 'Customise Display' dialog box which has 2 tabs.
4. The 'Display' tab allows you to choose which layers you want to display. For example check the 'Bottom Copper' box to show the bottom copper layer and uncheck the 'Silkscreen' box to hide the silkscreen layer.

5. The 'Colours' tab allows you to choose what colours you want the various elements in your design to be. For example choose blue from the 'Pads' drop down menu to make the pads display blue.

6. Once you have created your own customised display if you wish to use it again you can save it as a preset display. In the 'Customise Display' dialog box, once you have selected all the settings you want, click on the 'Save...' button. This will bring up the 'Save Display' dialog box, type in the name you want to use for the display and click 'Save'. This display will then be permanently added to the 'Display' menu in the toolbar.

7. Note for Teachers. If required user created preset displays can be deleted again by going to C:\Program Files\Crocodile Clips\real PCB\Colour Files (or wherever you have installed the software) and deleting the relevant files. If you have the software running when you do this it must be restarted for the 'Display' menu in the toolbar to be updated.
